I super love being stereotyped…

So I’m settling in to the dystopian novel The Forsaken by Lisa M. Stasse when I see this:

“I’m Edie,” she says with a distinctive Canadian lilt. “How long have you been on the wheel, eh?” (pg. 59)

Eh.

Thanks for that, Lisa. I’d like you to know that I’m currently enjoying your book from the depths of my igloo, bundled up in my toque and snowshoes, and lounging with my pet moose and a vat of maple syrup.

    • Totally! I should have taken this as the omen it was. The rest of the book was about as lazy. That’s what you get for judging books by their covers, I guess.
